Swansea Shop
The Gower Butchers shop in Swansea has a long and distinguished history as a traditional butchers shop, being rebuilt and opened in 1950 (due to the Swansea blitz) by Mr Percy Watts.
The shop remained in his family for many decades passing to his son Richard in the 1980's.
Howard Penry bought the premises in 2007 and renamed it to The Gower Butcher. Even after extensive modernisation, the shop window and its display remains at the heart of this traditional shop that has served the families of Swansea for almost 8 decades and now stands as the last traditional butchers shop in Swansea city centre.
